...come to think of it someone probably posted this exact same thing on some civic forum somewhere... only referring to one of the old 4 cylinder mustangs... He pulls up next to me, and I drop into second... the sweet spot right at 40 mph. He drops it right before I do, but it doesn't matter - my Z spools instantly and it pulls like nuts. I shift to 3rd and run away until he brakes. We slow down to talk for a bit, he mentions, "That's pretty quick." I smile and think, "Yeah, I guess so." He asks me how it does off the line... as the light in front of us turns red. I tell him it's turbo, so lag can be an issue, but it really just comes down to the driver. He said, "We'll see." We did =). We both rev up a bit... my Z to 3k and his roaring beast to... I have no idea. We launch simultaneously, I slip the clutch up to the 3k mark - quickly and smoothly - and he pulls slightly, perhaps a foot just as my Z spools up and regains... then gets sideways as the torque overpowers what's left of the already strained grip - that's okay though because I throw it into second gear - and it's over. With a hop (wheel hop that is =), I pull off strong and clear.
Yeah, that's right, Kenny PETZ Member #5 "TwinTurbo.NET - Forums and more for the 1990+ Nissan 300ZX enthusiast. ...doesnt say TwinTurbo.NET - Forums and more for the 1990+ Nissan 300ZX enthusiast and other shit." - Genic (thanks Tennyson(ATL))
